Each plenary sitting of the German Bundestag is documented by the shorthand writers and made available to the public as the minutes of plenary proceedings, also referred to as a stenographic record.
Before publication, speakers have the right to check the transcript. Any corrections made may not alter the meaning of the speech or any part of it. The first part of the minutes of an ongoing sitting can be found on the German website under “Tagesaktuelles Plenarprotokoll” (Latest minutes of plenary proceedings).
The minutes are generally available for download the next working day as a PDF or XML file.
